Our Ayusa Summer Camp in Japan program takes place from June – July. As in years past, the program offers junior and senior high school students from around the world the chance to travel to Tokyo, Japan, and immerse themselves in Japanese culture through language classes, volunteering at local elementary schools, a visit to a Japanese high school, and a two-night homestay with a local family. Furthermore, participants visit exciting places like the world-famous Asakusa and Akihabara districts, as well as Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park located at the base of Mt Fuji. Anyone with an interest in Japan or in improving their Japanese can join the program, regardless of their prior language skills level.

Deepen your exchange experience by visiting a Japanese high school and a local home and making lifelong friends.
Visit the unique Tokyo districts of Akihabara and Nihonbashi; join Japanese cooking and calligraphy lessons; and see the Buddhist temple in Asakusa, the fashion district of Harajuku, and Mt. Fuji.
