Asociacion Latin American Sea Turtles (LAST) is a non-government organization and part of the Latin American Program of WIDECAST (Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network) and operates in Costa Rica sea turtle conservation with volunteering opportunities. We are located on the Osa Peninsula on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and on the Caribbean coast in Pacuare beach. We believe that connecting people with nature, hands-on experiences, education, and local community involvement can really make a difference for endangered sea turtles and help reduce the threats these animals are facing today. Our scientific research is the base for our conservation activities, with which we hope to contribute to the recovery of sea turtle populations and prevent their extinction. Volunteers are essential for the protection of nests and sea turtles, and volunteer fees support local communities.
