I had a really good experience with AIP, especially with my agent, Jeff. My situation was a bit complicated because I had to return to my home country to renew my U.S. visa before travelling to Malaysia, but Jeff understood everything and guided me through the process. He stayed in contact, answered my questions, helped arrange interviews, and found a company that suited me. Even after I arrived in Malaysia, the AIP team checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well. I really appreciated how supportive and available they were throughout the whole experience.

I discovered my passion during my internship with MLC. It was a meaningful experience where I gained hands-on skills, built confidence, and learned a lot from a supportive team. This opportunity really helped me grow both personally and professionally.

My summer camp internship in Malaysia was both fun and meaningful. I assisted in organizing daily activities, guided students during lessons, and helped create a positive learning environment. I am having a great experience teaching in Kuala Lumpur! The staff and students are very kind, and I am gaining valuable teaching experience and confidence in the classroom, while helping students pursue their dream of learning English! The classrooms are equipped with smartboards and teaching materials are provided. It is an extremely multicultural environment with friendly, supportive staff and keen students from all over the world. The included accommodations are very comfortable - I especially enjoy the rooftop gym, yoga studio and pool! On weekends I love exploring the different markets and cultural sites around the city! KL is a fantastic, diverse city with amazing weather, food, shopping, culture, and parks! It is a great base for exploring other parts of Malaysia and SE Asia. I recommend doing this for a unique and rewarding teaching experience!

During my NGO internship in Malaysia, I had the privilege of contributing to meaningful projects that aimed to uplift local communities. I worked on initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and sustainable development. This experience not only broadened my perspective on social issues but also allowed me to collaborate with passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact. Thank you AIP for providing me with what exactly I wanted to do for this internship. I really enjoyed it and will definitely visit again.

All I can say, is this was the best internship experience I've ever had! I have done several internships and using AIP's service is nothing compared to the other internships I've done. Malaysia was the perfect destination for me and AIP did an excellent job in providing me with all the information I needed to make my time in Malaysia an amazing experience!

Just finished my 4 month internship and I can definitely admit that in the beginning, things were rough in terms of getting along with people and accustoming myself to the food around me. But things transitioned smoothly and things took its course. The best part, however, of this internship was the end of the year. Being able to celebrate Christmas and New year in Malaysia was a wonderful experience and although I miss my family, being with friends and my coworkers was crazy enough to fulfill my adventures. I have no regrets and definitely recommend!

Not really much to say but my time in Malaysia but it had its positives and negatives. I don't blame AIP at all and the staff and services they provided were actually very helpful. I found myself bored in Kuala Lumpur and couldn't really find anything to do. A thing that I really liked though is the distances between all the malls, they were pretty convenient and if I needed something like a snack, it would be from a walking distance from my accommodation. In regards to my work, my coworkers were lovely and very nice. The moment I stepped foot in the office I was immediately greeted and treated like family. I couldn't ask for a better experience team to guide me through the ropes. 2 months of working with amazing people is something I've always wanted and I'm glad I got it.

I applied for a 3-month internship placement for Malaysia with AIP, my experience was great! The process was quite smooth and AIP was very helpful. I was a little skeptical at first but AIP has shown their worth by providing me an Internship at a company which fits perfectly with what I wanted, accommodation, visa assistance, insurance and a lot of help with any questions I had while I was in Malaysia. The IT company that I was working in was great. My supervisor was very patient and taught me many things which helped me improve my work process, learning capabilities and helped me grow as a person. All my colleagues were very kind and helped a lot with the initial integration into the company. After the first 2 weeks, it was like I was a part of a family! The workload was an above average amount in my opinion but I find that I could properly balance my time between work and other things that I want to do. Malaysia is great, the people were very friendly and kind. I met a few people that showed me a great time while I was there and I am still in contact with them even after coming back to the states. The Food was absolutely awesome, you can find street stalls and food courts everywhere. It is really affordable to eat out, however, the food is almost always fried and very fattening, especially the street stalls. All in all, I can safely say that I had an absolute blast while I was there.

I wanted to do something new and exciting before starting University to commemorate my time in high school. I originally wanted to teach english as a foreign language in Thailand because my brother did that and had an amazing time but I learned that a degree is necessary and also that you need to commit to at least 6 months which I didn’t have. I don’t have much in the way of skills being only 18 so I was reluctant to do an internship but I was convinced to try it! There isn’t a chance in hell that I would have been able to manage this without AIP, I was completely ill-equipped to organise this by myself I don’t know why my parents wanted me to do it so bad. I had a great time in KL but think I would have liked to have gone with a friend a bit more.

My time in Malaysia was pretty good, I liked the country well enough but I wasn’t excited by Kuala Lumpur after a few weeks but the real beauty of Malaysia is outside of the capital like the Cameron Highlands and Mount Kinabalu which I was lucky enough to get the chance to visit on the two long weekends during my time there. While I found the city a little on the boring side I liked my internship well enough, I am a Civil Engineer and I was working as a BIM Modeller which was exactly what I was looking to pursue, I liked the combination of the practical and administrative work so that there was little repetition in the work. Also, Malaysia is very vegetarian friendly - I come from Finland where fish and meat is unavoidable so the diet was one of the easiest and most enjoyable adjustments to make. AIP was pretty good in helping me find what I am looking for in a job position and my major concern was the arrangement of the visa which was I was guided through very well. The experience is an investment but in my opinion worth it, definitely better than staying put in Helsinki.

So I have never been outside of the United States before. To go even further, the only states that I have been to are Florida and South Carolina. I was so incredibly tired of doing the same things every summer, which was spending a week of vacation at Myrtle Beach or going on a golf weekend with some of my buddies in Hilton Head. I wanted to do something different and travel to a part of the world I've never been to before. I go to the University of South Carolina and there I study electrical engineering. I stopped by the international center at school and they recommended some internship providers and AIP was the one that stuck out to me the most because I saw that they offered internships in Asia. This was particularly interesting to me because I wanted to go to the other side of the world. When I interviewed with them I wasn't sure which country to go to but they suggested a couple of places where I could have the most opportunities based on my major. I was stuck between Thailand and Malaysia to go to and ultimately decided to go to Kuala Lumpur. When I arrived there I had a complete culture shock and I loved it. Just simple things like the unique smells and sounds made me feel like I was in a completely different world. The internship itself was not exactly what I was expecting but I haven't had any work experience in the past so I was completely open-minded. I was expecting on doing a lot more physical work but didn't realize that there was a lot of research that went into this industry. Nevertheless, I did learn a lot of new things that I never even was exposed to in any of my classes. When I got back home to South Carolina, I honestly felt bored. I miss Malaysia and want to visit some other countries, maybe Thailand or Indonesia.

I wanted to do computer engineering internship in Singapore but the AIP team said I cannot get the visa. They recommend for me to go to Malaysia and I'm ok with that, its no problem. My main focus is that the internship is good because my university need to approve. AIP team did very good job finding tech company for me to intern with. The process is very easy and the team is fast to communicate with me. I can recommend this program for your internship.

I am Malaysian-American, the last time I was in Malaysia before this was when I was about 8 years old but my memories of this time are hazy as hell, my family are from Penang and I can vaguely remember the beach there. I wanted to return because I feet a bit divorced from the culture, I could barely string a sentence together in Malay (Still can honestly haha). A friend of mine from University had done an internship in Thailand through AIP and so I trusted their credibility a bit more than some of the other providers and I saw that they offered Malaysia as one of their destinations, I applied, I did my interview, i paid the deposit and a few weeks later I was doing an interview with a Magazine! I was pretty open on what I wanted to do in Malaysia so I told Mead, my placement person that I wanted to do an internship in writing, marketing or business development as my degree is in Journalism and I thought they were all related to a degree but I was pretty chuffed to be placed in a newspaper! My time in Malaysia was great, like I mentioned before my Malay is atrocious and managed to pick up a few more phrases and gain a bit more confidence which I’m delighted with, I would have liked to learn more but I did not have the time to take language classes while I was there! I got to visit Penang and which was maybe the highlight of my time there! And got to try the more authentic versions of the food my Mom cooks which, while delicious, has been influenced by America! I ate so much Chapathi that I’m ok with not eating it for a while haha! I’m really glad that I sucked it up and went to Malaysia on my own, I think if it was another country that I might have been a bit too scared to take the plunge by I already had some familiarity with Malaysia and a pretty good motive if i do say so myself! Thanks to AIP for helping me on my path back to the motherland and Malaysia, I will be back!

My internship in Kuala Lumpur was a good experience. I believe it to have been an incredibly enhanced my professional experience. It was a good opportunity to explore the international business field, getting to know business cultures in Asia and get to understand a completely different type of clientele. What I can say about the city is that it was a dynamic metropolitan with much to do. I have never lived in a big city before, having come from Hertfordshire. Though I visit London quite often, being quite close by, I don’t usually go for more than a weekend at a time. It was an experience I definitely appreciated. What I enjoyed most about my stay in Malaysia, however, were the neighboring villages and beach towns I was able to visit on my weekends and holidays. The countryside is so beautiful, down in South East Asia. I honestly don’t believe Europe, and especially England, can compare. When planning my travels, AIP were very helpful with their assistances and guidance. Whether it was advice on booking my flights, planning my stay and accommodation, and even advice on where to travel and places to visit, AIP definitely made everything more accessible and easier to understand for me. AIP services itself were also very good. They were very efficient in finding me an internship, and were great in helping me find somewhere to stay for my 4 months in KL. AIP – good service, great communication, would recommend.

My internship in Malaysia was more of trip for me rather than an internship. It didn’t feel like work at all, I enjoyed what I did so much and learned new method of photography. My internship started out just following my supervisors around KL taking in the new atmosphere and sights. That day was for my supers to figure out what I was strong at and weak at. The next day was incredible they took time out of they busy day to teach me and gave me task to help me grow my skills. Overall my time spent in KL was used honing my skills and learning new ones. Last few months was something unforgettable. That was the first time I visited Southeast Asia and specifically Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. My name is Boris and I am from a very little village northwest of Ukraine. All of my childhood was there and only once in a while we were travelling to our capital Kiev to have some shopping and after graduating from Institution in Ukraine, I decided to gain some experience in the actual workplace, and feel the office environment from the real companies. Back then my English was not fluent so after I applied to Asia Internship Program, I’ve been rejected after the interview. But I didn’t give up and took English classes with the total course of 4 months. My second application went well, and AIP suggested me to go to Malaysia since there were a lot of opportunities for hospitality interns. Will be honest, the company I’ve been placed with was not big, and at the beginning, I thought it would be useless, but in fact, it was opposite. Because the company was small, I managed to learn the whole process and system, and instead of being an employee after the internship was over I came back to Ukraine and opened a small hotel using some of my parent’s savings and currently working in my own hotel, and do not depend on anyone above me. Seems like what could you learn in few months some people might say but during whole 3 months as soon as I was introduced to the owner of the hostel, I’ve been following him everywhere and listening to everything he was talking about. Every meeting I attended was noted word by word in my notebook. Owner of the company was the young bright man in his 30s, originally from Singapore, extremely smart and polite. With his negotiating skills, he managed to close any deal he wanted. Looking at his behaviour slowly but surely, I’ve started coping his habits so I can use them in my own business. Overall, I am really grateful to AIP for the provided service and life-changing experience.

Originally when I applied to AIP I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go to Thailand or Malaysia. Then when I had my initial interview with Fred he advised me that Malaysia would have some interesting opportunities for me based on the industry that I was interested in. My internship of choice was in automotive engineering. By the way, the actual interview process with AIP was very easy and smooth. I was kinda nervous beforehand because I didn't know what to expect, but it was more of a discussion/consultation that I had with Fred. There was one part of the entire placement that was a little bit frustrating. I had to do the internship to graduate from university and my school's advisors needed certain things to be required of the actual internship position. The first two interviews I had with companies were very interesting opportunities and I would have loved to accept the positions, but my university said that there were some things regarding the job description that they wouldn't approve. Luckily during my third interview with a company, my university finally agreed to the internship position. I felt very bad that I had to turn down the first two companies because their business models were very interesting and unique. Since I had never been to Malaysia and didn't know much about living there, I opted to go with the Standard Package that AIP offered just for the convenience. My favorite parts were being picked up at the airport and having a fully furnished accommodation. Having all of the bed sheets, towels, kitchen appliances, etc. was super super convenient. Also, since I arrived one day before my internship started I was very jet lagged and didn't have time to go and see how to get to work. But then I remembered in my package was also included that AIP would take me from my apartment to my host company. I was very satisfied with AIP's service and they thought of many things to assist me with that you really wouldn't think about or consider when moving abroad. Malaysia also was a beautiful country to visit and experience. The food is so delicious and has a lot of cultural influences from India and Singapore. The people were very friendly and I even made some local Malaysian friends that took me around to some hidden spots that tourists aren't aware of. I really enjoyed seeing these parts of the country! And of course I got a great selfie with the Petronas Twin Towers (because that is a must!). I would definitely definitely recommend AIP if you're considering them for your internship abroad. I bet their other destinations are also super cool to go to.

I have recently begun my first year of University but before jumping in I wanted to gain some experience to give me a good foothold on Environmental Engineering. AIP was great in putting me in contact with a company that held similar values to mine; I am a big advocate for sustainability and I was lucky enough to be placed in a new type of compost bin manufacturing company which was especially exciting for me because composting is something that I have yet to bring into my own household in Germany. Malaysia is a nice and clean place, my one complaint is that the place is very quiet.. too quiet, I was craving a bit of adventure which I supplemented with a week-long trip to beautiful Thailand where I went to the Island of Koh Samui. I am really happy with the decision because the placement itself was perfect, maybe I could have gone to a more exciting place but I might not have gotten such a great host company and I met some cool people through the program too. I would definitely recommend AIP and their services to anyone who asked.
