Study Abroad in Oman

Americans can live and study in the Sultanate of Oman, an Arab state in Southwest Asia, by applying for the Gilman International Scholarship Program and Boren Awards. Participating young people join linguistic and cultural immersion activities, and accumulate the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain the United States development.

Participate in AMIDEAST's program in Oman and take courses in Middle Eastern Studies and the Arabic Language. Students live and study in the city of Muscat. Programs are offered during the academic year, for a semester or year.
