Wiener Laboratory Research Associateships
Deadline: April 1, September 1, December 1, annually
Description: Research Associateships in the Wiener Laboratory are available on a limited basis each year for the purpose of accommodating well-defined research by qualified scholars undertaking limited investigations. Applications are reviewed by the Committee on the Wiener Laboratory. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposals with the Director of the Wiener Laboratory (or write regarding their ideas) prior to submitting the completed application form and documents. Space in the Laboratory is limited and applicants are advised to make plans well in advance of the time they wish to undertake the work. Funding of up to $7,000 may be awarded by the Committee on the Wiener Laboratory for applicants requesting this consideration. Preference will be given to projects that make significant use of the facilities of the Wiener Laboratory. Priority will also be given to applicants who have not received significant support from the Wiener Laboratory in the past three years. A final report is due at the end of the award period, and the School expects that copies of all publications that result from research conducted as a Fellow of the ASCSA be contributed to the Wiener Laboratory library of the School. Please note that fees charged by the ASCSA are required of all Research Associates in the Wiener Laboratory and are to be paid out of the stipend by the recipient. Fellowship does not include travel costs, housing, board, and other living expenses.
