Also, Rennes is the capital of Brittany, which is home to the descendants of the Celts giving the region a certain distinction. This Celtic distinction can be seen in the regions cuisine such as its seafood, crepes, cider and galettes.
Since France is the fourth most popular country in the world to study abroad at, there are many programs offering summer and semester options. For example, Center for International Studies (CIS) has an excellent four-week summer program in Paris that makes the city your classroom! It offers excursions, fine arts and French language courses, and accommodation just a short distance away from the Louvre. There are two excursions that go to beautiful Versailles and bustling Brussels during the four-week trip. Overall, because France is such a wonderful, vibrant place in general, any study abroad program will keep a student constantly learning and seeing without a moments rest.
