During the 1999 Conference on Population and Development at the United Nations, Anna Halpine called on the discussion of topics focusing on human dignity. Her stand was well-received and she was asked to work with young people from developing nations as well as to maintain a presence during UN conferences. The World Youth Alliance was born and has, since then, expanded with six regional offices and thousands of members from across the globe.
Our organization works to promote a person’s dignity through advocacy, culture, and education at a grassroots and international level. We train young people from all over the world in the areas of education, global health, social development, economic development, and international policy and human rights. We teach them to come up with solutions to real world problems and to support the human person.
