  • Description

    World Wide Internship specializes in Business positions as well as hotel management and tourism. The following internship roles displayed show the type of work an applicant may experience during an internship with us. A specific internship and what it will entail in terms of the type of work will depend on the applicants skills set as well as the projects available at that time. Interns may experience multiple roles during their internship.

    Event management:
    - Organization of weddings, meetings, birthdates and other events that have been paid to be organized in the hotel
    - Collect all the requirements of the client for his event
    - Contact all suppliers to create the event according to what has been ordered by the client: drinks, restaurants, rooms, meals, leisure.
    - Administrative tasks in the direction department (prospection - contact clients - prices - communication...)

    Public relations:
    - Provide personal attention to each of the guests by providing information about services and facilities in the hotel, creating an image of care, warmth and quality.
    - Provide necessary, clear and accurate information about the hotel
    - Perform operational tasks of the department as reservations in the different restaurants, in the spa and golf course, report of complaints, assistance in incidents.
    - Realize courtesy and welcoming calls to be informed of the satisfaction and needs of the guests.
    - Supervise birthdays, honeymoons (LM), loyal customers (CR) or VIP guests.

    Reception:
    - Customer Service at Arrival, Departure and during their stay
    - Check in / Check out
    - Allocation of rooms
    - Planning and organizing for unpredicted changes: late check-out, extensions, early departures
    - Giving information to hotel guests regarding tourist attraction, leisure activities
    - Answering questions regarding hotel offers, facilities and events
    - Taking and handling complaints, suggestions

    Chef assistant:
    - Cutting of meat, fish, seafood
    - Making sauces
    - Lessons from international recipes as well as regional and Mediterranean cuisine
    - Assistance in developing menus
    - Assistance in organizing and cleaning the kitchen

    Outdoor activities:
    - Participation in events:
    *Dance
    *Sports
    *Animation
    *Games
    *Water games
    *Activities for children
    *Etc.
    *Coordination and preparation of events and entertainment
    *Direct contact with clients in several languages.

    Concierge VIP:

    - Review of the VIP rooms
    - Knowledge of the VIP customers and personalized attention
    - Contact with guides and tour operators
    - Send personalized e-mails
    - Ensure delivery of leaflets to individuals
    - Monitoring and resolution of complaints
    - Restaurant reservations
    - Babysitting service Management
    - Distribute Press for VIP customers
    - Support to Reception
    - Prepare welcome and farewell letters for VIP customers

    Reservation assistant:

    - Attend call for reservations
    - Contact with Tour operators and international management of reservations
    - Update reservation offers and communicate availabilities
    - Planning of reservation according to availability
    - Exchange of email/calls to confirm reservations through the payment
    - Organize forecasts of room availabilities

    Food & Beverage assistant:

    - Make the mice & place (review the material, serve and collect the tables)
    - Distribute and place orders
    - Perform assembly and disassembly of rooms and lounges
    - Prepare and present drinks
    - Respond to complaints and suggestions from customers and refer them to his superior
    - Knowledge of the gastronomical offer of hotel
    - Knowledge of schedules and features of different products and services of the hotel
    - Knowledge of the rules of safety and hygiene
    - Knowledge and replacement of minibar items

  • Qualifications

    - ENGLISH & SPANISH ARE A MUST and other European languages are considered as a plus.
    - Excellent communication ENGLISH skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, etc
    - Ability to learn quickly.
    - Ability to meet the needs of the clients
    - Able to read, analyze, and interpret information, documents and policies
    - Manage conflicts, negotiate, and resolve situations
    - Able to face competing demands and prioritize tasks
    - Self-motivated, independent and able to take initiative.

    Requirements:

    1. Be a University student or have less than 1 year of graduated.
    2. Fluent in English and basic knowledge of Spanish (other language skills are a bonus).
    3. Outgoing and easy going personality.
    4. Professional, detail-oriented and service minded.
    5. European languages are a plus.
