Description

This internship is designed for those who have studied or previously worked in the field of Psychology. Interns will assist in providing a wide range of services for adults with intellectual and/or psychiatric disability. Tasks may include providing assistance for learning programs, activities, and support mechanism that will encourage independence and a better quality of life. Placements may be residential or in day care centers, facilitating support groups, or working with various specialized services for those in mental health conditions and disabilities. Interns will assist these agencies in their goal of ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to become a contributing member of the community.

Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have at least an intermediate level of English
- Must have at least 1 year of academic or professional experience in field of interest
- Must have a flexible attitude
- Must be willing to learn
- Must obtain a valid Passport in order to participate
