Description

There are thousands of people in Ecuador who receive little to no healthcare and who are deprived of health related resources and services. On this internship program in Ecuador, interns can educate children and adults on proper hygiene, sanitation, health issues, and nutrition. Other outreach type programs such as public health campaigns and projects are also available and will focus on improving the current health situation in Ecuador. Advanced pre-med and nursing students can work in clinical settings and assist in the admitting of patients, administering basic first aid, and shadowing of doctors.

Highlights

Life in this Andean city will be an interesting blend of scenery, people and culture. You will improve your Spanish as you explore Inca ruins, rain forests, and explore the various parishes of the city that reflect its fascinating history.

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Must have at least 1 year of academic or professional experience in field of interest
- Must have a flexible attitude
- Must be willing to learn
- Must obtain a valid Passport in order to participate
