Help shape young lives in Nepal through teaching and listening. Volunteers teach English to elementary school children ranging in age from 6-13 years. Many schools lack the funding to provide effective English language training. Native or fluent English speakers with or without formal teaching experience can contribute greatly to a child's educational development.
Most schools in Nepal follow a fixed course for teaching English. Volunteers teach school courses in collaboration with local English teachers. Volunteers are also encouraged to coordinate additional activities such as games, painting, health education, or other activities. Volunteers typically teach 2-3 hours a day for six days a week.
* A desire to help the children of Nepal

* An openness to a new culture and a willingness to learn
English teaching or ESL experience or certification is desired but not mandatory.
