World Endeavors offers placements in several lifestyle, culture and travel magazines located in India. These publications are in English. This is a great placement for interns who have a curiosity and interest in modern Indian culture. Internships may include the opportunity to do research, contribute story ideas, and possibly even have your articles published either online or in print publications. Highlights

After arriving in India, World Endeavors participants will be met at the airport and given an orientation. Our director of programs in India will be available to provide support and answer questions throughout the duration of the internship.

Housing assistance is provided. Interns will be placed in apartment accommodations. Short-term accommodations can be difficult to find. We provide assistance to interns looking for housing during their stay in India. Many options are available, including single and shared apartments. Costs vary from one option to the next. Our goal is to provide you guidance but also flexibility to ensure that you find housing that meets your needs and your budget.

World Endeavors offers internship placements in Jaipur, Chennai and Mumbai. The city in which you are eventually placed will depend on your internship field, previous experience, and local availability. If you have a strong preference we will do what we can to place you in your city of choice but we cannot always guarantee a placement in a particular city.

Qualifications

It is helpful for interns to have some previous experience or coursework in writing or journalism, although this is not required. Be prepared to provide samples of your previous work, if applicable.
