With more than 15,000 students, 160 academic programs, and a dynamic campus community, Western Washington University offers the focus on students and the faculty access of a smaller college and the academic choice, resources, multicultural diversity, and room to grow of a large university. Our seven colleges offer more than 140 major fields of study and about a dozen pre-professional pathways. We are recognized in the United States for our successes, from our leadership as one of the most sustainable "green" campuses in the nation by the Sierra Club to being named the top masters granting institution in the Pacific Northwest by the U.S. News and World Report. Our goal is to build a stronger Washington by being an international leader in active learning, critical thinking, and societal problem-solving. The university is proud to be a member of the American Association of State College and Universities.
