3 Day Itinerary
Day 1 (Lunch / Dinner)
After picking you up from your accommodation in Alice Springs bright and early, we hit the road on our adventure of a lifetime. The first part of the day is spent driving to Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park with a few stops along the way for refreshments, a camel ride+ or a chance to purchase some Aboriginal paintings or artifacts.
On arrival at Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park, we head to the Cultural Centre for an opportunity to learn about the local Aboriginal law and religion (Tjukurpa) before a short, guided walk at the base of Uluru. At this point you can take a full base walk, climb Uluru (2 - 2.5hrs) if you choose, or join the Aboriginal guided Kuniya Walk+
No Uluru adventure would be complete without experiencing the famous changing colours of Uluru at sunset, with sparkling wine and nibbles.
Day 2 (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
From a lookout close to our campsite we view sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta before rolling up the swags and heading off to Kata Tjuta for a 7km (2.5 - 3.5hrs) walk through the "Valley of the Winds". We're then off to Kings Creek Cattle Station where our remote private bush camp has stunning views over the George Gill Ranges and the feeling of 'wayoutback' really takes hold. Enjoy dinner around the campfire with another night out under the stars.
Day 3 (Breakfast / Lunch)
A leisurely start to the day before we visit Watarrka for a mind blowing 6km (3 - 4hrs) walk through the towering walls, crevices and plateaus. We'll visit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and a swim in the tranquil "Garden of Eden" if you wish.
Later we head back to Alice Springs, travelling on a typical outback dirt road and then 4-wheel driving across riverbeds and sand dunes. We'll drop you back at your accommodation early evening and usually meet later for a night on the town (Alice seems like the big smoke after 3 days in the bush).
