VFP offers over 3000 affordable, short-term voluntary service projects in 100+ countries, including 5-10 in Armenia each year. These international voluntary service projects are an opportunity to participate in meaningful community service while living and interacting in an intercultural environment. Volunteer projects vary greatly since they arise wherever there is a need in a given community.
Most projects are limited to ages 18 and up. Voluntary service projects are usually from May through September and are of 2 to 3 weeks in duration, although there are projects available in the 'off-season.' A USD 500 per-project registration fee includes accommodation and food. There will be an additional fee for projects in developing countries, payable on arrival. Transportation is arranged and paid for by the volunteer.

Volunteers For Peace promotes International Voluntary Service as an effective means of intercultural education, service learning and community development. We provide projects where people from diverse backgrounds can work together to help overcome the need, violence and environmental challenges facing our planet. We organize and promote projects where nations join together to improve life on our planet and volunteers experience a microcosm of our world. Through the exchange of ideas and international understanding, our projects are practical ways to both prevent and resolve conflict while meeting local needs. By encouraging and providing opportunities for voluntary service we are sowing the seeds of a better future for all.
