Located at the Tropic of Capricorn, Peru is one of the places on the planet with the greatest natural diversity; its varied ecological zones boast thousands of species of plants and animals. The beautiful city of Cusco is the ancient city of the Incas and later became part of the Spanish American empire for 3 centuries. The city reflects this dual heritage.
All of the programs offered by Experiment Peru provide volunteers the opportunity to be their best and contribute their best, while having the opportunity to learn firsthand about this amazing country and its culture. One of the strengths of OUR program is our specialized placement. We want to work with YOU to find the most meaningful volunteer opportunity for you. We know our country. we know our city. The projects offered are located within the city of Cusco and within the Amazonian Rainforest. The types of work that a volunteer can expect to be participate in:
supporting staff in a local health clinic, working directly with children in an elementary school, providing care and support within a special needs school, contributing to meaningful work at the Ecological Reserve and its library or community organizing with a small indigenous community group.
