  • Description

VARA's volunteer teaching overseas program is one of the best opportunities abroad in Ghana Africa, which is solution-oriented and fulfilling for the volunteer teaching overseas.

The volunteer teaching overseas, Africa Ghana program is indeed born of the need to find solution to teaching and learning such as acute lack of teachers and non teaching staff as well as inadequate teaching and learning materials in Ghana Africa in general and rural areas in particular.

Most often the classrooms in Ghana while filled to capacity by school children have no teachers to teach the children.

These affect the teaching and learning process in Ghana from which the children are the ultimate losers.

The volunteer on the teaching abroad, Ghana Africa program teaches at the pre-tertiary level that is made up of primary school, junior high school and senior high school in Ghana Africa.

The volunteer works as teaching assistant but is most often fully responsible for a class.

The volunteer on the teaching in Ghana, Africa program teaches subjects ranging from English, French, Science, Maths, Creative art, Music, Information Computer Technology (ICT), biology, chemistry, all depending on your capabilities and abilities.

The volunteer is not required to be a professional teacher, your desire to make things happen is sufficient.

  • Highlights

The volunteer's main work is teaching. The volunteer is also involved in the activities (clean up exercise) that aim at making teaching effective since the volunteer is now part and parcel of the teaching staff of the school in which he or she is teaching in Ghana.

The above gives the volunteer unique opportunity to have insight of the school functioning and administration in Ghana Africa.
