Description

Volunteers work in schools and community centers to teach English to Vietnamese students. Volunteers teach primary and middle school students and help them in improving their language skills. You can also help them in any other subject and involve the kids in different activities such as games and other extracurricular activities. The project is available in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).

You will have the choice of either leading your own class or assisting a local teacher in his or her daily lessons. Your placement is completely dependent upon your level of comfort within the classroom. Depending upon your educational background, you may also want to teach art or help in other subject areas and activities that may be occurring at the school during you service.

Volunteers mainly help in improving the English speaking skills of the children and also teach them in a play way method by singing songs and dancing.

* Project Location
The project placements are located in and around the cities of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Hanoi. Most of the volunteer projects are located at a distance of 15-20 minutes from the accommodations and volunteers travel by either bus or bicycle depending upon the distance.

Volunteers must be 17 years or older at the beginning of the program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. The volunteer should bring energy and enthusiasm to make a difference.

Program Fees Include:

* Airport Receive/Transfer: Our representative will greet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel/placement/homestay.
* Orientation: A week long orientation will be provided by our staff. We cover areas like, culture, greetings, locations, transportation etc. Each participant will be provided with a local map of the city.
* Lodging: Almost all placements have residential accommodation arrangements, however if that is not available volunteers will be staying with a local welcoming and educated family.
* Food: 3 local meals will be provided in this project.
* Insurance: All participants are covered for full comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their time of stay in our project. Please find details at our website.
* In Country travel assistance: If participants like to travel around, we provide with full support for bookings & arrangements to travel within Cambodia.
* In-country support: 24 hours support provided by our local staff.
* Pre-departure information: After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by email which will have all vital information about your program.
