This program offers to volunteers an opportunity to gain experience in the medical field.

You can work in different areas and topics:
* Public Medical Centers
* Public Hospitals
* Health Campaigns
* Sexual health, personal hygiene, and family planning.

And also can help in keeping records, entering in new patients: taking height, weight, blood pressure and temperature.

Volunteers also work in local health clinics for low income families are at a clinic for mentally and physically disabled children. Volunteers help in different departments of the clinics.

Volunteers wanting to work in this project, must have confidence at least and an intermediate level of Spanish in order to give local people as much help as possible.

Highlights

* Your Role in the Program.
Volunteers work in clinic and hospitals and are given work in accordance to their education, experience and knowledge in the medical field. You would work along local doctors and nurses to help in daily work.

* Skills and Educational Requirements.
Volunteers participating in this program need to be either a student, nurse or doctor. You will need to send us certificates and need to bring white coat and stethoscope with you. Having knowledge of Spanish is required (Volunteers will get FREE Spanish in Cusco ). However, proficiency in English is required. People should be patient, committed and willing to learn.

Qualifications

Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program. Volunteers need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. Volunteers need to have a intermediate level of Spanish for this program. Pre-medical and medical students are welcome to join the program. Volunteers must possess proof of their certifications.
