Volunteers working in the China Orphanage program are needed to provide care for the disadvantaged children. Volunteers role is to make the children's lives at the orphanage more enjoyable and lend a helping hand to the staff. Besides assisting the staff in the daily chores, volunteers give love and individual attention to each child.
As a volunteer working in this project, you will be asked to help in a wide range of activities at the orphanage depending on the age group of children and the needs of the project.
Volunteers mostly help the staff with basic care duties during the day but during certain times when the work is less structured you can play with the children. Volunteers generally work for 4-5 hrs in a day for five days in a week.
On the weekends, volunteers are free to travel around Beijing and explore the different night markets and historical museums.
