Description

There are many children in Sri Lanka who are orphaned, underprivileged or street children. These children are sheltered by the orphanages of Sri Lanka with the assistance of various organizations. Our volunteers will work in these orphanages doing various kinds of jobs such as teaching English, helping with homework, assisting in other activities including games, sports, arts & crafts and local trips. Your optimistic views and stories would create a positive impression. Working with them is truly a rewarding job. As well as teaching, you can help the administrative staff coordinate activities.

Volunteer's Activities:

Note: Most of the orphanages in India have 30 to 50 children aged of 4 to 16.

With its unique natural environment we can understand why this legend as survived. Although it is a small country, help is required and Helping Hand Community can assist in organising volunteer work. Volunteer work can offer a unique way to experience the culture while making a meaningful contribution.
