My Time in Cape Town
Submitted by Rina Ann - Bethlehem | August 31, 2016
My experience in Cape Town was a tough dose of reality. Learning about the life and experiences of refugees was extremely eye opening. This is in addition to realising some of the realities of working for an NGO. I truly left my comfort zone here, but I was so blessed to have the opportunity to work with many different departments and learn new things about work and myself. Although many experiences were frustrating, as I learned realities, my time here was incredible important to my understanding of the world.

My experience in Cape Town has been incredible. Beautiful views, people, food, wine, everything! My internship taught me so much about sustainable development. South African culture and the world of work and life outside of work has been shared with an amazing international group of friends. I cannot wait to come back!
My Springbok summer
Submitted by Yasmina Sirgi - Lehigh University | August 10, 2016
No better place to spend a summer working than in beautiful Cape Town. My internship was at a firm that specialises in engineering cardiac devices. Through the rigorous and challenging projects and reports I completed, I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge if bioengineering while simultaneously expanding my cultural horizons through my immersion in South Africa. What an amazing opportunity for all types of personal growth and a once in a lifetime educational experience for all who have the chance to visit the Mother City!
Human rights internship
Submitted by P.Kaushal - - | July 25, 2016
My time at my internship site certainly solidified my passion for the law and human rights. After spending 10 weeks working in a new country, assisting local residents even with the language barrier & adjusting to a new work environment, I feel ready more than ever to take on whatever challenge I will face in the future. I have learned to appreciate where I come from and my time with my internship site has inspired me to dream bigger and always commit my life to fighting for basic human rights.
