Program Duration
2-4 weeks

Typical Duration of Program
2-4 weeks

Dates

  • Description

There are generally 20-30 projects in Ireland each year - some with disability organizations, some with community organizations, some with environmental organizations. The volunteer will be one of a team of international volunteers joining in a specific project with the organizations above.

  • Highlights

    * Great way to learn about volunteering and community development
    * Great way to meet people from many different cultures and countries
    * Great way to get to know Ireland in a deeper way
    * Learn new skills - build a dry stone wall; cook for 8-10 people; etc

  • Qualifications

The most important qualities we need are enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to experience something completely new. All volunteers must be 18 or over. Some projects require certain skills e.g. language; these will be stated in the project description. The success of the project depends largely on the willingness of individual volunteers to involve themselves in the group-life by 'mucking in', communicating and making friends with other volunteers and in the local community.
