Veritas: Center for Interdisciplinary Studies

Location

England: London

Description

Veritas has chosen London for the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies due to the broad range of classes available to students. The intent is to provide students the needed flexibility to study abroad in a wide variety of academic disciplines, including History, Literature, Business, Economics, Art, Political Science, Environmental Studies, Anthropology, Geography, Sociology, Linguistics, and Religion.

Much is said today of the development of a "Christian World View," but how is this accomplished? At Veritas we believe it involves the humble, thoughtful and holistic integration of all academic disciplines. We join with Christian Liberal Arts colleges across the world to embrace the idea that all truth is God's truth and that the study of the arts and sciences is both fruitful and necessary for the equipping of thoughtful, well-balanced Christian leaders.

Our Center for Interdisciplinary Studies is a unique environment where your learning will benefit from a challenging international context, the highest of academic standards, and the firm foundation of our Christian faith and epistemology. Whatever your course of study, your experience abroad will expand your horizons and prepare you to be a more globally-aware professional.

Academic Credits:
Credits earned may vary according to the policies of the student's home institution. For visa regulations, and according to Veritas Abroad policy, students must maintain full-time enrollment status for the duration of the program, as determined by their home institution. Students may be required to obtain a student visa and should inquire with the corresponding consulate.

Highlights

With Veritas: Christian Study Abroad, students become more globally mission-minded by Veritas facilitating links between the students and local evangelical ministries and mission outreach opportunities. As the students engage the host culture with a spirit of humility and service, they will develop a greater understanding and love for the people in their host culture. These experiences will significantly change their understanding of the world and the global mission task. Students who pour themselves into the mission will find that their passion for the Great Commission will grow and theirs eyes will be opened to the exciting possibilities of the future.

The mission component of Veritas programs is exciting! Your long-term involvement with your new culture will make it possible to gain a better understanding of the needs of the culture while you are abroad. Whether you are serving refugees from the Middle East, preparing food at a homeless shelter, ministering in prisons or just talking to people, your participation will affect you and those you serve.
