Evolution of ancient seas, tropical reefs and life in the Nanpanjiang Basin of south China
Join UW Oshkosh's Dr. Dan Lehrmann, Wichita State University's Dr. Wan Yang, Guizhou University's Dr. Yu Youyi, and students from both the U.S. and China as you explore the geology, history and culture of China!
* Participate in collaborative field projects in south China.
* Live with Chinese students.
* Study the rural culture and ethnic minorities of southern China.
* Develop basic skills in field geology, structural geology, tectonics, sedimentary geology and basin evolution.
* Experience the majestic karst terrane of south China.
TRAVEL to the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs, and the Great Wall.

Program fees cover course-related expenses (no tuition is assessed); visa fees (at U.S. citizen rate); accommodations in hotels as listed on the finalized itinerary; most meals; field visits (including transportation) listed on the finalized itinerary; pre-travel orientation; and international health insurance. The program itinerary may be tentative and will not be finalized until approximately two weeks before departure.
Program fees do not cover items not specifically mentioned above such as trip cancellation and baggage insurance; passports; immunizations; airfare; transportation to/from the U.S. airport; some meals and all other food and beverages; entrance fees for cultural excursions; local transportation costs (including transportation costs associated with group activities); and all expenses of a purely personal nature.
