Description

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Australia program, located at the University of Newcastle; Callaghan Campus, allows students to take courses in all fields the University of Newcastle offers while providing an in-depth look at Australian culture.

Program participants will take a required course in Australian culture and also a 1 credit Cross-Cultural Understanding course. In addition, students will select additional courses from all academic field the University of Newcastle offers for a total of 12-16 credits. Educational excursions compliment the academic program by taking classroom learning outside the classroom walls.

An on-site Program Coordinator will provide the orientation, teach the Cross-Cultural Understanding course, arrange housing and excursions and assist participants with their cultural transition and culture learning.

Possible excursions to Sydney Harbour Bridge and Museum, Wollombi Aboriginal Cultural Camp, Glenrock Lagoon, and The Blue Mountains.
