    A distinctive emphasis of the program is a holistic view of the English language as a component of a student's bi-/multilingualism. Dynamic and hands-on courses explore how humans learn second languages, social and political implications of English in a globalizing world, and best practices for an approach to language teaching that values linguistic and cultural diversity.

    Admission Requirements:
    * Hold a baccalaureate degree;
    * Have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the last 60 semester credit hours of coursework taken;
    * Be in good academic standing at the last institution attended;
    * International students must meet the minimum TOEFL score set forth in the Graduate Catalog;
    * The GRE is not required.
