The international Master's programme in Design and Development of Virtual Environments aims to provide students with advanced skills of entrepreneurship in the field of creating innovative digital products and services.

Eye on Entrepreneurship:

Emphasis of the programme is placed upon teaching and practicing entrepreneurship by employing Agile and Lean Startup methodologies. Hands-on teamwork activities are supported by theoretical studies of culture, social sciences, business and software product development.

During the two year Master's Programme a series of development projects are completed. Several projects are commissioned by real companies and by Estonian public sector. Special attention is paid to design, usability and user experience. The best practices of software industry are closely followed. Design and Development of Virtual Environments will bring together specialists from very different fields of expertise - programmers, engineers, designers, researchers and business people to work on joint projects.

This inter-disciplinary programme is aimed at everyone with an entrepreneurial spirit planning to work in the field of digital technologies and media creating and marketing new products and services. Preferred are the applicants with:

- previous work experience in software development or product development;
- previous studies in the field of Information and Communication Technology, Design, Social Sciences, Economics, Business or Marketing;

Applicants are expected to have a general understanding of the main aspects of digital products and services industry.

The programme fee is EUR 2200/year and covers tuition, essential study materials, supervision and advice for thesis preparation. There will be a limited number of scholarships available covering full tuition of the two-year programme.
