This 2-year program provides an excellent opportunity to obtain an interdisciplinary Master's degree in Baltic Sea Region issues and has an integrated curriculum with options to specialize in Baltic Studies, Media and Communication, Business Administration.
General admission requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's degree (at least 3 years of studies at the higher educational institution)
- Proof of proficiency in English: TOEFL (min of 550, 213 computer based, 79/80 Internet based), British Council IELTS (6.5), Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (C), or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (B).

Founded in 1632, the University of Tartu has almost 18 000 students and is famous for research-based education and lively student traditions. Tartu is Estonia's second largest city, with 100 000 people, and is located 2.5 hours from the airport and sea port of Tallinn, with connections to major cities in Europe and Russia. For nearly four centuries, since University of Tartu was founded, it has been an international hub of academic exchange. This is increasingly the case in today's global context. Today, the University of Tartu boasts an extensive network of international academic cooperation. Thousands of students come to study at Tartu through various academic exchange programs. Likewise, our students study abroad either individually or as part of an exchange process between universities. Numerous overseas scholars teaching and carrying out research at the Tartu give you the feeling of belonging to the global academic community.

The fee includes course participation, copied and published materials and most of the costs for field trips within Estonia. The fee may be paid in installments.
The tuition fee does not cover travel, housing costs or personal living expenses. For example one month's rent of shared room at newly renovated university dormitories can start from 70 EUR depending on particular living arrangements.
Personal living expenses vary considerably among students. Based on previous experience of international students studying in Tartu, the university suggests that around 250 EUR should be projected as minimal personal expenditure per month.
