The University of Rochester continues to offer a semester-long study program in Arezzo, one of the most attractive cities in central Italy. Rich in history and intellectual and artistic tradition, Arezzo is a modern, dynamic, and welcoming city in which your encounter with the Italian language and culture will be authentic, fulfilling, and unforgettable.
The objective of the Arezzo Program is to provide students with an authentic and intensive experience of Italian language and culture achieved through academic courses, full immersion in community life, cultural activities, and study related travel. A four-course curriculum including Italian language, history, art history, history of science and applied science, engineering, literature, and cultural studies fosters learning across departmental and disciplinary boundaries and privileges a contextual and interactive approach.
