With 2,700 well-qualified full-time students and a suburban campus of striking beauty, Pitt-Johnstown combines the strong academic reputation and outstanding resources of a major research university with the personal appeal of a smaller college. Located in a suburb of Johnstown, a city of 40,000 only 70 miles east of Pittsburgh, the spacious 650-acre wooded campus is recognized as one of the most attractive in the Eastern states. The University's facilities blend easily with the rustic setting, creating a campus of distinctive natural beauty. Shops, entertainment, and cultural activities are conveniently available, and the city is in the heart of Pennsylvania ski country.
