    Berkeley Summer Sessions offers exciting Travel Study programs that give you the chance to combine international travel with academic achievement. Courses are taught by regular rank UC Berkeley faculty, faculty of host institutions, and UC Berkeley graduate student instructors.

  • Highlights

    Acquire the cultural, social, and business skills necessary to communicate on a daily basis with the public and professional community through an intensive six-week immersion in Taipei. The program offers not only language instruction coordinated in collaboration with National Taiwan University, but also field trips to international companies, tea factories, government offices, night markets, theatres, industrial parks, the National Palace Museum, and natural scenic sites. Local experts are invited to discuss topics on Chinese culture such as calligraphy, the arts, Chinese painting and theatre. Discussions of Taiwan's history, politics, economics, and business are also conducted by local experts.

    * Total cost does not include airfare, textbooks, extra meals or personal expenses.

    * Students have the option to either live in the dorms on the National Taiwan University campus or to live with friends or relatives in Taipei.
