Scholarships are Available

U21/LERU Partial Scholarship

If your university is a member of the Universitas 21 network and/or LERU network then you may be eligible for a partial scholarship of EUR 500. You must also be a current student at that university when you apply for the summer programme. If you graduate before the start of the summer programme but were a student at the time of submitting your application, you will still be eligible for the scholarship. Students studying at Dutch universities on these lists are not eligible for these scholarships.

You must verify that your home university is a member of the LERU network and/or the U21 network. We will then be able to submit your application to the U21/LERU scholarship fund. The final decision on granting these scholarships is made by the UvA following acceptance of the candidates into the summer programmes. The EUR 500 scholarship will be deducted from your tuition.
Step 1: Check your eligibility by making sure that your home university is in the LERU network or the Universitas U21 network.
Step 2: Apply to the programme and indicate that you are applying for a LERU or U21 scholarship in the scholarship field.
Step 3: Upon acceptance you will hear if you have received the partial scholarship.

Amsterdam University Fund (AUF Travel grant)

The Amsterdam University Fund has a limited number of (partial) travel grants of EUR 375 to offer participants in the Summer Programmes from outside of Europe: AUF Travel grant. These travel grants are for third year bachelor and master students. The travel grant can only be used to cover (part of the) travel costs. It cannot be used in conjuncture with other scholarships (i.e. LERU/U21/GEP). The Amsterdam University Fund (Stichting Amsterdams Universiteitsfonds) is a joint initiative of the University of Amsterdam Alumni Association (AUV) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA). In order to apply for the travel grant, you must have a complete application on file with summer programme office.
