    The University at Albany offers study abroad options in the Dominican Republic through its partnership with the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). This is a private university that was founded in 1962 to develop technical and professional leaders in order to aid the Dominican Republic in its continued development.

    Students can study at one of its two campuses. The main campus is in Santiago, where students are expected to directly enrolled in courses with native Dominican students. For this reason, students who wish to study at this campus must have a high level of Spanish proficiency.

    The Santo Domingo campus is located in the capital city. It is a full-service campus that offers the option for direct enrollment as well as coursework in English.
