    The University at Albany offers the opportunity to study abroad in Finland through its partnership with Oulu University. This university was founded in 1958 and has developed quickly into one of the largest and leading universities in Finland. The two main campuses occupy modern, spacious premises and include modern classrooms, sports facilities, and student housing. Today, more than 11,000 students attend the university.

    Oulu University offers specialized programs taught in English that deal with northern cultures, societies, and the environment. Students with advanced Finnish language skills can enroll in regular university classes. The university also offers Finnish language courses for exchange students. These classes vary from the beginner to advanced levels.
