Universidad Iberoamericana ("Iberoamericana University"' or just "IBERO") is one of Latin America's top ranked private universities, founded in 1943. As a Jesuit institution, IBERO combines academic excellence with humanism and a strong social commitment. Its graduates, amongst them Academy Award winners, CEOs of transnational enterprises and a former Mexican president, play important roles in society, culture, politics and business.
International students are invited to do a semester-long direct enrolment (with programs taught in Spanish or English), or to participate in one of IBERO's short term programs. The newest 6-week program "Social Realities in Mexico" (January 5th to February 18th) is the result of IBERO's efforts to familiarize international students with social and development issues in Latin America, and how to resolve those challenges.
