* Full time in regular courses in 64 different programs with recognition and credit transfer to the home institution in undergraduate and graduate programs. One semester usually has 6 courses; the international student needs to be enrolled in the six courses to be considered a full time student. For this option, the students have to speak Spanish.

* EAPE (Spanish for Academic Purpose)
The EAPE Program has been designed for non-native Spanish speakers who need to learn the language or increase their Spanish language skills. This could be from academic or personal reasons. We encourage students that have an interest and desire to tale these classes to reach their goal as quickly as possible. They will be very beneficial regardless of their reasons for taking the courses. The EAPE offers 3 different levels of learning: Spanish for beginners, Intermediate and Advance students. Each level will be limited to maximum 20 students. These insure good teacher-student relationships.

* Mexican Language and Culture Program for Foreign Students
This course allows students to immerse themselves in the Spanish language, culture and way of life. This course starts every two weeks year-round and consist of sessions of 50 minutes with breaks in between. They are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and consist of interesting topics emphasizing the development of students communication skills. The different areas of skill development (listening, writing, reading and speaking) are integrated activities to provide a natural learning environment

* Intensive Spanish Language and Mexican Culture Course
The design of the Insensitive Spanish Language and Mexican Culture Course enables students to participate in two different levels of Spanish-language learning: intermediate and advanced. The level is determined by a placement test that students take upon arriving in Colima. Each group is comprised of a maximum of 20 students.
