Established in 2004, Tshega Christian Missions was registered as a nonprofit organization in 2006. We are found in Mopani District, Limpopo Province. Initially concentrating on children from vulnerable backgrounds, we eventually chose a more holistic approach to delivering services and helping local communities. Hence, we focus on our Millennium Goals through the identification of basic needs so we can provide appropriate support. After conducting an applied research in 2009, we discovered that using a holistic approach is the most efficient way of helping.
Currently, we have two programs: The Outreach Program and The Educational Program. These aim to serve families, from infants to elderly people, living in vulnerable conditions. Our programs are aimed at local communities in South Africa because of the numerous issues they are facing - such as low-performance education system, shortage of teachers, high unemployment rate, poor health, AIDS epidemic, and many more. We provide assistance through projects like the Lighthouse Academy & Lamb’s Haven Kindergarten, Orphaned & Vulnerable Children, Housing Program “Hakuna Matata”, Feeding Scheme & Homework Club, and more.
