About Tropical Adventures Foundation

Tropical Adventures was born as a not-for-profit foundation out of the founder's personal experience of immersing himself in the culture of Costa Rica, learning the language, sharing perspectives with locals and fostering personal and cultural understanding of the people and community through service and volunteering.

Tropical Adventures merely charges an application fee of USD250 per person and USD500 per family. Beyond that, the fees which are paid go directly to the project and host family - typically USD25 per day.

Though we work with many individuals and groups, our specialty is working with families. Life-changing and family bonding experiences, unrestricted glimpses of the Costa Rica most visitors don't know, and a way to have a positive and lasting impact on a community are all major components of a volunteer vacation with Tropical Adventures.
