19 Years of Experience. Travelers Hostel was founded by Prague-native Petr Jelinek (a former civil engineer). The first hostel was opened only few months after the Velvet Revolution in the Czech Republic and the Fall of the Berlin Wall, when the borders of the Czech Republic were opened to millions of foreign travelers for the first time in 40 years.

Jelinek's idea was to provide reasonably priced accommodation in the center of the city. All of the Travelers Hostels are within walking distance to the most interesting sights - of Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Trebic, Znojmo, Brno.

Since the first hostel opened by the Charles Bridge in 1990, the total capacity of the Travelers Hostels has risen to 750 beds in 7 different hostels. The services available have also increased, to include such amenities as an online reservation service, Internet access, parking, hostel bars, garden pubs and BBQ's, bike rental, laundry service, and transport between Prague and the beautiful South Bohemian city of Cesky Krumlov (where one of the Travelers Hostels is located). We are also planning to open a boat hostel "Amelia", which will have another 40 beds and be docked on the Vltava river, with lovely views of Prague Castle and the Old Town.

The staff of Travelers Hostels is made up of friendly, young, English speaking Czechs who are always happy to provide our guests with a wide range of information to ensure that their stay is as enjoyable as possible.

* From the airport:
Dlouha street (hostel building in the back)

The best way is to take a shuttle bus from the airport; it is right outside the exit from the airport. It is a white van, company name Cedaz, Airport-Centrum on the side of the van. It costs 90 CZK (3 EUR) to get to Namesti Republiky, then you get off, go Revolucni street towards the river and after few hundreds of meters turn to the left to Dlouha street, walk another 150m and it will be on the right side of the street, next to the famous club Roxy. If you get lost, ask for Roxy, everybody knows where it is.

The shuttle could drop you off by our door, but it would be 360 CZK (12 EUR) instead of 90 CZK (3 EUR). If you want to take a taxi, the price shouldn't be more then 500-600 CZK (15-18 EUR).

* Or by Public transportation:

Take a bus #119 from the airport to the last stop Dejvicka, it will drop you off right by metro, take a metro Line A for 3 stops, get off at Staromestska and walk Kaprova, through the old town square, continue to Dlouha street and hostel is after 300m on the left hand side. Just buy a 20 CZK ticket; it is good for any public transportation for 75 minutes.
From the Main Train Station - Hlavni nadrazi:

take a metro Line C for 1 stop to Florenc, change to Line B, go for 1 stop to Namesti Republiky, get off at the Namesti Republiky exit, walk on Revolucni street along the tram tracks towards the river, and the second street to the left will be Dlouha street. Hostel is located after 150 m on the right hand side, next to the Roxy club. In case you get lost, ask for Roxy, everybody knows where it is.
From the Holesovice Train Station - Nadrazi Holesovice:

take a metro Line C for 2 stops to Florenc, change to Line B, go for 1 stop to Namesti Republiky, get off at the Namesti Republiky exit, walk on Revolucni street along the tram tracks towards the river, and the second street to the left will be Dlouha street. Hostel is located after 150 m on the right hand side, next to the Roxy club. In case you get lost, ask for Roxy, everybody knows where it is.

* From the Florenc Bus Station:
Take a subway, Line B, for one stop, get off at Namesti Republiky, use the exit to Namesti Republiky, walk on Revolucni street along the tram tracks towards the river, and the second street to the left will be Dlouha street. Hostel is located after 150 m on the right hand side, next to the Roxy club. In case you get lost, ask for Roxy, everybody knows where it is.
