  • Description

The American West offers up a vast and varied landscape full of excitement and adventure! Come alone with us this summer as we seek out the best this region has to offer, from its hippest, busiest cities, to its most awe-inspiring natural vistas.

We'll check out the hip neighborhoods, fabulous food, and laid-back charm of San Francisco, the lovely city on the bay. We'll tour through the city, taking in its unforgettable vibes and its most notable sites, like Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, before heading out to Muir Woods for a look at the majestic redwoods. Then it's on to Silicon Valley, for an inside look at Google, American technology giant.

We'll leave the city behind for a stay at Lake Tahoe, on the Nevada border, where we'll enjoy water sports in its crystal-clear water. From our cooled-off resort we'll move on to the heat of the Nevada desert. In the center of it lies Las Vegas, a dreamlike city of millions of lights. We'll tour its casinos and head to an awesome stage show, before changing gears altogether and striking out for the Grand Canyon. You'll be amazed by its size, scale, and power!

Our final stop is sunny LA, where we'll tour Hollywood and Beverly Hills, check out art at the Getty, take in a game at Dodger Stadium, take a day-trip to Disneyland, or learn to surf with the pros at Venice Beach! So join us this summer for the best of the West!

  • Travel For Teens's Mission Statement

Travel for Teens believes that teen travel should be both fun and enriching. Our programs feature choice in what you do, see, and experience, a dynamic that sets us apart from superficial tours that herd large groups from one site to another. We visit the best of the mainstream attractions while offering the opportunity to explore the culture from a less touristy perspective. We interact with our host cultures, taking cooking and dance lessons, performing valuable service work to help local communities, and conversing with the people who have spent their lives living in the places we journey to. We have crafted our unique programs to engender love for travel, hunger for learning, curiosity about differences, appreciation of similarities across cultures, and an understanding of what it means to be a global citizen.
