The YOUNG ARTISTS outreach ministries was established in 2002 as a multimedia art class for home-educated children. The class was overseen by two committed home-educating mothers who met twice a month at a local church and held a class reception at the end of each school year. With opportunities for monthly exhibits in public venues, students, participating parents, and teachers alike were able to showcase their work. Today, sessions continue as bible-based themed art workshops, semi-private, and private lessons, and exhibitions of students' finished work. As this ministry strives to foster emerging artists ages 8-18, it also makes a good opportunity for Christian fellowship. Some supplies are provided for sessions. Full and part-time home-schooled, private and public schooled, and visiting art students nationally and from abroad are welcome to participate. Artists are ministered to as they receive acknowledgment during public exhibitions and online at mainstream web markets where ministry events are posted.
