The Scholasticum is an Institute of Medieval Studies for Scholastic Theology and Philosophy, offering three two-year study programs in the fields of Medieval Biblical Studies, Scholastic Philosophy, and the Scholasticism of the Sentences of Peter Lombard. In each Scholasticum program, students take 120 credits of highly specialized seminars,, lectures, and research group projects focused on the study of original texts and their historical interpretation. Classes are offered both in-person and via live video-conferencing. We place an emphasis on small classes, research, and the traditional use of books and original texts, to prepare the student for a career in Academia. Scholasticum students pay their program fees online and complete courses via class participation, written assignments, and term papers.
