In operation since 1962, the school has offered English language and Canadian culture studies in Vancouver. We are a leader in language training for cultural and commercial institutions as well as for individual students. We offer a complete selection of services and a full range of class levels. Additionally, we are recognized by the Canadian Ministry of Immigration and the Quebec Ministry of Education, as well as by the International Association of Language Centers (IALC). Teachers are university graduates with training in second-language instruction. Teachers use both proven traditional techniques and the latest teaching innovations.
The school is close to public transit as well as a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Classrooms are light and bright with ample space for each student. The extensive Student Resource Centre is a multi-media facility. It contains computers, CD-ROM, audio materials, and a reading room. Students can take advantage of the Student Resource Centre for independent or guided study. The school has full-time staff dedicated to each service area yet is small enough to know each of their students on a first-name basis.
Canada is the second largest country in the world and has one of the best standards of living. A bilingual nation with English and French as its two official languages, Canada possesses some of the world's leading educational institutions and hosts students from around the world.
About Vancouver:
Vancouver is Canada's gateway to the Pacific. Its parks and beaches, with a glorious backdrop of mountains, provide an ideal setting for outdoor activities. This friendly and picturesque west-coast centre offers visitors culture, recreation, history, adventure, shopping and entertainment - all in a beautiful natural setting.
The downtown of Vancouver is bordered on two sides by water and at one end by the famous Stanley Park. It is easy to walk through the downtown. The Vancouver school lies in the centre of it all and is surrounded by cafes and shops. The Skytrain has an entrance across the street and the buses are in the next block. A few minutes' walk down the street is the waterfront. There, you can catch the Seabus or admire the wonderful views of Burrard Inlet. It is an active harbour set against the fantastic backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
