A guest at The Meadows Bed & Breakfast should first get a feel of the place by going around Kilkenny, a delightful Medieval City in the southeast of Ireland. Take the time to visit Kilkenny Castle, which overlooks the River Nore and dates back to the 12th century. St. Canice's Cathedral and Round Tower date back to the 13th century and there are many other historical buildings to visit.

Many local pubs provide traditional music nightly. Discerning visitors are duly catered for with high quality craft studios, restaurants and shops. Kilkenny is just 70 miles from Dublin, 95 miles from Cork, 60 miles from Rosslare, and 70 miles from Limerick/Shannon.
