London School of Economics - Peking University Summer School in China

Location

China: Beijing

Description

The LSE-PKU Summer School is a two-week programme based at Peking University, running from Monday 12 to Friday 23 August 2013. Participants take one course from the list below, each designed and taught by members of academic staff from the London School of Economics and Political Science and Peking University, two of the world's leading institutions for teaching and research.

The courses total 48 contact hours (usually 36 hours of lectures and 12 hours of classes), and are formally assessed to allow the award of an official transcript. Whilst neither LSE nor PKU formally award credit for the programme, many previous participants have been able to receive credit from their home institutions we are very happy to provide any information to assist with this. All courses are taught in English, and there is the opportunity for participants to undertake ten hours beginners Chinese language tuition alongside the programme.

The LSE-PKU Summer School attracts students and professionals from around the world, 420 participants of over 50 nationalities in 2012. One quarter of participants are graduate professionals working in a wide range of related fields, including business, finance, public policy, international affairs, NGOs, media and law.
