Our 1920s home, The Knowes, offers discretion, comfort and stylish accommodation. Traditional furnishings mix well with modern art and sculpture. Give yourself a break and see Glasgow properly.

This is also a convenient point from which to easily tour the surrounding area. Young or old, you will feel welcomed here. If you need an early start, we will be helpful. If you come in late, that presents no problem.

Each bedroom at The Knowes takes up to three persons and has private bath and/or shower. There is a most attractive sitting room with color television/video for guests' use.

Our expanded continental breakfast happily contrasts with the British breakfast you will get elsewhere - breakfast served from 7AM to 10AM, at a time of your choice, in a bright room overlooking the garden.

Government legislation now requires that smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house; you are welcome to smoke out of doors. Access the Internet from your own laptop - WiFi is provided at no extra charge.

Location

Take a bus from Glasgow city center to the shops and churches at Riddrie. The buses travel east beside Alexandra Park, and turn left at its eastern end. Get off at the third stop after the bus turns left. Cross the road and turn left between the churches into Smithycroft Road, and immediately right into Riddrie Knowes. It is approximately 200 meters' walk from the bus stop to the house.
