The International Language Institute of Massachusetts offers comprehensive training in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Russian and German, and also trains teachers to teach English. Since 1984, ILI has earned a distinguished international reputation for its excellent language training programs. ILI teachers are skilled professionals with Master's Degrees or a minimum of one year teaching experience in innovative and student-centered language teaching.
The Intensive English Program runs 47 weeks each year with start dates once a month. We serve adults (18+) in academic, business and practical English. In addition, Intensive English Program students have access to excellent pronunciation software in our computer lab, trained volunteer tutors, and can live with American hosts who are within walking distance of the school or on a convenient bus route.
After completing our Intensive English Program, students may choose to transition to one of 7 nearby colleges that offer conditional acceptance to students who complete the program.
The World Language Program offers part-time evening classes, weekend intensives and summer week-long intensive courses. For those who want to study a world language but cannot fit it into their schedule ILI offers private and semi-private tutorials. Tutorials are designed according to students' needs from absolute beginner to advanced speakers in your target language.
The TESOL program is a 130-hour teacher-training course that provides participants with the practical skills and confidence they need to be successful teaching in the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classroom.
