THE EUROMASTER - ADVANCE YOUR CAREER IN EUROPEAN AFFAIRS
The Advanced Master of European Integration and Development (EuroMaster) is an interdisciplinary programme offered by the Institute for European Studies (IES) in cooperation with the faculty of Economic, Political and Social Sciences and the Solvay Business School.
Its teaching staff is a mixture of renowned academics and carefully selected practitioners in EU policy-making. The student community includes both full-time students and professionals with experience in national administrations and international and European institutions.
An interdisciplinary approach ensures insights from economics, political sciences, law and sociology. A maximum of 30 students is admitted to each of the two 'specialisation streams' to guarantee high quality interactive teaching.
The 60 ECTS EuroMaster can be taken in either a full-time (1 year) or part-time (2 years) format. Organised in the evenings, the programme is highly accessible for professionals who wish to study alongside their on going professional activities.
PROGRAMME SETUP
Now in its 10th year, the EuroMaster provides students with an advanced academic, theory-based understanding of the policies, the institutions and the socio-economic processes in the European Union. The European Union has an increasing impact on a wide variety of public and private actors within and beyond its borders. Therefore a focus on European integration is essential. Given the EU's influence on domestic and international contexts, an analytical and academic understanding of its functioning is imperative.
In addition, the programme supplies students with the necessary theoretical and conceptual tools to interpret and analyse aspects of European integration.
