After years turmoil, Laos is beginning to open its doors to adventurous travellers looking to explore this beautiful part of the world. When you travel to Laos you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Your tour of Laos will offer you the opportunity of seeing the country from a local's perspective. You'll use a variety of local transport options including bus, songthaew, tuk-tuk, Mekong riverboat, mini-van, train and pirogue (narrow canoe). And you'll be staying in simple hotels and guesthouses.

Your journey from Bangkok takes you north to the mighty Mekong River and across into Laos. Once you've crossed the river you'll feel as though you are stepping back in time to old South East Asia. As you follow the river you'll visit the beautiful town of Luang Prabang and then continue to Vang Vieng and the sleepy capital of Vientiane.

All great adventure holidays have to come to an end. Once you cross the International Friendship Bridge you re-enter Thailand and take the overnight sleeper train back to Bangkok.
